🍾 A Costly Round of Drinks for One Local Offender

Dear Resident,

On Friday 3 July 2026, Northwood SNT officers were carrying out proactive patrols when they spotted a known local offender at Waitrose on Green Lane, Northwood. Shortly afterwards, Naffiesatou BOBB made a rapid exit from the store — unfortunately for her, our officers were close by and ready to intervene.

A search revealed two bottles of vodka, both still wearing their security tags and neither having seen a checkout.

Naffiesatou was promptly arrested for shoplifting and taken into custody.

However, officers weren't finished there.

While carrying out further enquiries, the team linked the offender to a motor vehicle interference offence committed on the ward the previous week. She was subsequently further arrested for this offence as well.

Following a stay in custody, the offender was remanded to court where she received a 12-month suspended sentence.

✅ A shoplifter arrested
✅ A linked vehicle crime solved
✅ One repeat offender brought before the courts

This is another excellent example of the proactive work being carried out by Northwood and Northwood Hills Safer Neighbourhood Teams. Through high-visibility patrols and targeted activity, we continue to support local businesses, tackle repeat offenders and make our communities safer.

Sometimes a bottle of vodka can end up costing a lot more than the price on the shelf.
